Disinfection robots in epidemic control

Blue Ocean Robotics, which was founded in collaboration with the University Hospital of Odense, Denmark, established UVD Robots as a subsidiary in 2014 with the goal of finding a solution to the problem of hospital infections.

During a pandemic, this robotic solution becomes vital, and UVD robots have been used in the fight against Covid-19, among others by the Medical Imaging Centre at the Semmelweis University, as their capabilities can deactivate 99% of viruses and bacteria.
