Katica Tanya’s most recent indoor play centre, called Adventure Cave, is now open for the visiting children. The centre features a dozen 8-meter high climbing walls, a 2-lane mini bowling alley, a modern trampoline park and 20 kinds of creative games. An expansion of the renewable energy systems accompanied the introduction of these new features, thus the Experience Centre continues to cover its full energy demand from 100% renewable resources.

Year after year Katica Tanya (“Ladybug Ranch”) offers new and improved games and ever expanding services to its guest at Patca, Somogy County. The most recent addition is Adventure Cave. The project, which began last autumn, has a total budget of approx. HUF 190 million. One half of the sum was used to construct the building, and the other paid for the equipment inside. The main feature is without question the row of new climbing walls: 14 climbing walls, 8 meter high each, with different difficulty levels and of course the adequate safety equipment, which means older and also younger guests can try to reach the summit. Besides these walls, the Adventure Cave also features a new mini bowling alley, trampolines and a plethora of games helping to nurture creativity.

With the opening of the Adventure Cave a modernization became necessary regarding the renewable energy system. It is essential for Katica Tanya to cover its full energy demand from 100% renewable energy sources. With this new project the ranch’s solar energy farm received a 20% expansion, and thanks to its 16,5 kW power upgrade this summer 99 kW of solar energy will produce electricity for the Experience Centre.
