Communication in 3D
FERLING PR agency took part in the Szamárfül Family Festival, representing the newly established 3D Research Centre of University of Pécs.
3D printing is a more than 25 years old technology which started to develop rapidly during recent years. Almost every form and object can be printed fast and simple from different kind of plastics or metal. The fields of use are spreading from healthcare to industry: primarily small quantity products and prototypes can be manufactured this way.
Our PR agency’s client, the University of Pécs established its own 3D research base in the city. They will focus on development of better printing technologies and undiscovered fields of use, but they receive printing orders from other parts of the university and companies too. The effective utilization of the several professional printing machines needs partnership with local business organizations, therefore they launched a communication campaign with the cooperation of FERLING to increase awareness of the technology.
Part of this campaign was the on-site presence in the traditional Szamárfül (“donkey ears”) Family Festival in the Zsolnay Quarter, which was supported by our PR agency, with tasks including organizing and personal assistance at the event. During these three days the visitors could see different kind of printed objects and a working 3D printer. Luckily not only common people were interested in us, but many potential business partners as well.
