Children’s competition at the Beremend Cement Plant
This May Duna-Dráva Cement Kft. held for the sixth time the Green Alternative Competition, a self-developed environmental competition for high school students. Due to the epidemic situation, the company has cancelled the event in recent years, but this year the contest was held again for Beremend students and their teachers.
The road to the final, which was held in the Beremend Cement Plant, led through an online round, and the students had to solve exciting and thought-provoking exercises about DDC’s environmental efforts. The six best-performing teams also gained insight into the Beremend Cement Plant and mine, and the Blacksmith’s Workshop during the final. The final venue was the Beremend Event Center, where the participants continued to fight for valuable prizes. The biggest success, however, was the musical productions, which were prepared individually by each team.
Our agency has been taking an active part in the development of the concept of the environmental competition for years, and on the day of the event we provided assistance in the successful implementation at the premises, while we also participated in organizing online media and press communication activities.
