After a number of companies and municipalities, our agency has now joined Amnesty International's national initiative, launched on 8 March last year, to raise awareness of the gender pay gap and move closer to closing it.

The One Step Closer Campaign seeks to fight for the convergence and transparency of gender salary data by encouraging those who express their commitment to the initiative to disclose the average hourly salary gap between women and men. This is because the income disadvantage of women compared to men is between 11 and 18 percent, but if we include the invisible work done by women (raising children, running a household, etc.), the salary gap is even greater, so the principle of equal pay for equal work is not implemented at all. . Unfortunately, in Hungary, due to secrets about wages, most people have no idea if they are earning more or less in a certain position than their counterparts of the opposite sex.

As a next step, Amnesty International Hungary has set as its main goal a legislative amendment that would oblige employers to publish their data on the distribution of wages between men and women on a central website accessible to all - thus enabling their searchability and comparability.

Our agency currently has a higher proportion of female employees than men: without them, it would be just as inconceivable for a company to operate and achieve business success as it would be without male employees. Nothing proves this more than the fact that there are more women than men among our client managers. In 2020, we had a statistical headcount of 25, of which 11 were men and 14 were women.

The result was obtained at FERLING Ltd. Can be said to be average in the competitive sector
