For decades, Duna-Dráva Cement Kft. has given priority to the protection of natural values and the support of local communities and the young generation. For a decade now, DDC, with the support of FERLING agency, has been running a social responsibility program with new elements and features added year after year, with the goal of raising awareness across generations.
Its current Green Solution tender supports and enables the implementation of environmentally conscious ideas for the benefit of those living in the vicinity of the Beremend and Vác cement plants. The announcement of the environmental program is an exciting period for both the Company and our agency; the online and press communication of the tender has been a priority for years, especially during the pandemic period. Despite the difficulties encountered worldwide last year, a total of 31 applications were received from the Baranya and Vác regions. Our agency assists the building materials company in the administration of incoming applications and the planning of final committee meetings, all the way to the realization of the selected projects.
In the framework of the DDC Green Solution tender a total of 46 projects have been implemented so far in recent years for about HUF 65 million. And with the 7 new undertakings to be realized this year, the number of beneficiaries will be further increased.
