Pioneering research at the University of Pécs
Our PR agency carried out the communication campaign of an innovative science research project of the University of Pécs which is focusing on, among other things intelligent prosthetic limbs, tissue printing and electromagnetic radiations.
More than a dozen research groups are working on engineering and medical topics in the Centre for Biomedical Engineering and Innovation of the University of Pécs. Their works are focusing on important questions which can attract international attention, aiming to improve people’s quality of life and give better chance for the patients to heal.
A pioneering prosthetic limb made by 3D printing is able to adapt to the user’s movement habits thanks to its artificial intelligence software. Furthermore it is cheap and easy to make. Other innovation is connected to bioprinting. Scientists and doctors can use artificial human tissues to invent new medicines, develop personalized cancer therapies and create implantable cartilage and bone prostheses. Further exciting researches are underway about electromagnetic radiations, medical use of smart technologies and building materials.
Our PR agency was responsible for the media relations of the project. We were operating the common Facebook page of the research groups, created press releases and organized a media event in the 3D centre of the university. During the 1.5 months of the cooperation we were able to provide media publications worth more than 6 million HUF for our partner.
